-
Dietrich's attaches the utmost importance to the protection of your privacy. We have further improved our data protection with the coming into force of the European guidelines for the protection of sensitive data in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) on 25 May 2018. Below we describe how we handle your personal data in our company.
In general, it is possible to use our website without providing personal data. We store various data anonymously to optimise our website, e.g. which page was accessed when, etc., unless you object. The user cannot and will not be personally identified. We use cookies to make the use of our website as convenient as possible for you. Here, we also attach great importance to the anonymity of the data. The details you provide in the contact forms will be forwarded immediately to our customer service. We will treat personal data such as your name, address or email address confidentially and will not pass them on to third parties without your express consent
Who is the controller for data processing operations?
The controller within the meaning of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for the processing of your personal data is Dietrich's Technology GmbH, Hauptstraße 37, D-85579 Neubiberg, Germany.
Phone +49 89 61 44 21 0, fax +49 89 61 44 21 44, email kontakt@dietrichs.com
When and for which purpose do we collect personal data?
Dietrich's collects, stores or processes data only in pursuit of its own business purposes and those of its subsidiaries. In principle, our websites are available to all users without collecting their personal data. Personal data will only be queried, processed and used to the extent that it is necessary to provide the services or content you have requested.
Collection of general information
When you access our website, information of a general nature is automatically recorded. This information includes, for example, the type of web browser used, the operating system used, the domain name of your Internet service provider and similar (e.g. server data/server log files). This is exclusively information that does not allow us to draw any conclusions about your person. This kind of data is also generated when you access any other website on the Internet. So this is not a special function of our website. We analyse the information collected in that way statistically.
Handling your personal data
We take all necessary technical and organisational security measures when handling personal data to ensure that your personal data is adequately protected against unauthorised access and misuse at all times. We use encryption procedures (SSL) via HTTPS to protect the security of your data during transmission.
Our employees are obliged to comply with the rules of the GDPR when handling personal data.
Newsletter
To register to receive our newsletter, the specially labelled fields such as title, name and email address must be completed - all other information is voluntary. The data entered will be used exclusively for the purpose of providing the newsletter service. We may inform users by email about circumstances that are relevant to the service or registration (e.g. changes to the newsletter offer or technical circumstances). The registration follows a double opt-in procedure. After entering your data, you will receive an email with a confirmation link, which you must click to confirm. Subscriptions to the newsletter are logged for legal purposes. The following data is stored: Login data, login time, confirmation time, logout time, IP address and changes to the stored data.
Our newsletters are sent either via our own servers (nl.dietrichs.com) or using the service provider CleverReach GmbH & Co. KG, Mühlenstraße 43, D-26180 Rastede (cr.dietrichs.com). We only store the email addresses of our recipients and the data described above on CleverReach's certified servers in Europe. CleverReach uses this information to send the newsletter, to evaluate newsletter usage on our behalf and to optimise the service. CleverReach shall not use the data independently, for example to contact you, or pass it on to third parties. We have concluded an order processing contract with CleverReach, in which CleverReach undertakes to protect the data of our recipients and to process it on our behalf in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations and not to pass it on to third parties. You can access CleverReach's privacy policy here.
We also analyse user behaviour with so-called web beacons when sending the newsletter. This survey includes data such as IP address, time of request, content of the request, access status, amount of data transferred, browser type, operating system and user interface. Other web beacons are assigned to your email address and tied to your own ID. We do not link the ID to the data you provide, so that personalisation can be ruled out.
You can revoke your consent to receive the newsletter at any time. By withdrawing your consent, you no longer consent to the future processing of your personal data, the sending via CleverReach and the analyses. You will find a link to cancel your subscription to the newsletter at the end of each newsletter. You can also send us a cancellation request at any time by fax +49 89 61 44 21 44.

Our websites partially use "cookies". This standard technology is based on small text files that are stored on the device you are using and that make it possible, among other things, to make visiting a website more convenient or secure. Cookies can also serve to better customise the offer on a website according to the interests of the visitors or to generally improve it using statistical analyses.
You can determine for yourself whether the browser you are using allows cookies or not. Please be aware that the functionality of websites may be restricted or even cancelled if cookies are not permitted.
If you allow us to use cookies through browser settings or your consent, we may use them to improve our online service.
Contact by email or via the contact form
If a website user contacts us by email or contact form, we store the information provided by the user for the purpose of processing the enquiry and for possible follow-up questions.
Use of Matomo
The web analysis service software Matomo (www.matomo.org), a service of the provider InnoCraft Ltd, 150 Willis St, 6011 Wellington, New Zealand, (Matomo - formerly PIWIK) collects and stores data on our websites on the basis of our legitimate interest in the statistical analysis of user behaviour for optimisation and marketing purposes in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. For the same purpose, pseudonymised user profiles can be created and evaluated from this data. We can use cookies for this purpose. Cookies are small text files which are stored locally in the cache of the website visitor's Internet browser. Among other things, cookies allow the recognition of the Internet browser. The data collected by Matomo technology (including your pseudonymised IP address) is processed on our own servers in the Hetzner data centre in Germany.
The information in the pseudonymised user profile generated by the cookie is not used to personally identify the visitor to this website and is not merged with personal data about the bearer of the pseudonym.
Should you not agree to the storage and analysis of this data from your visit, you can object to its storage and use at any time by clicking here. In this case, your browser will store a so-called opt-out cookie, which means that Matomo will not collect any session data. Please note that the complete deletion of your cookies means that the opt-out cookie will also be deleted and you may have to reactivate it.

By confirming this hyperlink you will leave the Dietrich's pages and go directly to Facebook.com. Dietrich's Technology has absolutely no influence on which user data Facebook stores, how it is processed or whether it is passed on to third parties. You can find information on the data collected by Facebook and its processing in the social network's privacy policy.

When you access a page containing an embedded video, a connection to the YouTube servers is established and the content is displayed on the website by sending a message to your browser.
According to YouTube, in extended data protection mode, data (which of our pages you have accessed) will only be transmitted to their server if you actually watch the video. If you are simultaneously logged in to YouTube, this information will be assigned to your YouTube member account. You can avoid this by logging out of your member account before accessing the videos.
